VERSIONS
A vehicle shaped around your needs. Thanks to its versatility and mechanical parts designed to made the bodybuilder’s job easy and economical, Ducato can be customised according to your needs.
To adapt to any conversion requirements, Ducato is available as chassis-cab, crew-cab, chassis-cab with flatbed, chassis-cowl.
The adaptability of these vehicles is mated to the comfort and safety typical of Ducato, to give you maximum quality with any superstructure.
The wide line-up includes 5 GVW classes, 2 classes of mechanical parts: Ducato (with 3000, 3300 and 3500 kg GVW, and Ducato Maxi with 3500 and 4000 kg GVW), 2 cab models (standard and crew), 5 wheelbase lengths, 3 engines, adding up to an incredible number of configurations to accommodate any fitment.
Chassis-Cab
One cab, plenty of opportunities. The version with standard cab is the most versatile conversion base, able to meet the most diversified conversion needs.
Available with 3 wheelbases, 4 lengths, 5 GVWs (3000, 3300, 3500 kg, Maxi 3500 and 4000 kg) and 3 engines, it combines cab comfort and functionality with a sturdy frame, subjected to the harshest strength tests to ensure maximum dependability in any circumstances.
Its structure is made of strong steel longitudinals and a projection-free upper surface, with anchoring brackets to facilitate the bodybuilder’s job.
The front drive architecture of the vehicle making for reduced ground clearance, no drive parts to take up space and detract from the payload, shock-absorbers anchored directly to the longitudinals instead of the wheel-arches: all these features help to facilitate the conversion process.
For special superstructures, you can request a chassis-cab version without the rear cab wall.
Crew-Cab
For your crew and your equipment Ideal for team work: thanks to its spacious and functional cab with two rows of seats and four doors, the Ducato Crew-cab is able to accommodate in full comfort and full safety up to 7 people and all the equipment they need.
You can choose your Crew-cab from a wide range of versions, with 1 wheelbase, 2 lengths, 2 GVWs (3500 kg and Maxi 4000 kg) and 2 engines. Standard features include power steering and double-arm wing mirrors, halogen lights and 3-point belts on the side rear seats and 2-point belts on the central rear seats.
Ducato Crew-cab is the ideal vehicle in terms of handling and sturdiness in building site work, but, thanks to its superior ease of conversion, it can be used as a base for many other fitments.
Chassis-Cab with Flatbed
Ideas on the move. Because of its reduced ground clearance and the absence of a rear cab wall, the Chassis-cab with flatbed has been conceived for all those conversions requiring light weight and flexibility mated to a low access threshold, such as a mobile shop or a special transport vehicle.

ENGINES
New force for labour
More power, higher torque, enhanced performances and improved fuel economy. It might seem somewhat contradictory, but this is what the Ducato engine technology is about. Three new Multijet 16 valve Common Rail engines featuring electronically managed high pressure injection.
Power output ranges from the 100 bhp of the 2.2 to the 120 bhp of the 2.3, up to the 157 bhp of the 3.0 Power.
All the engines are clean and environment-friendly (Euro 4), are mated to new 5- and 6-speed gearboxes and deliver high torque at low revs (250 to 400 Nm), for sparkling pickup, great driving pleasure, optimal comfort and, first and foremost, fuel economy.
Innovative mechanical parts and technologies made it possible to have longer maintenance intervals: oil change is required every 28,000 miles (25,000 miles for the 2.2 engine).
2.2 100 Multijet
Displacement 2198 cc
100 bhp at 2900 rpm
250 Nm at 1500 rpm
Characterised by fuel economy and great responsiveness, this engine is the ideal answer for use in city traffic.
It is characterised by 4 cylinders in line, with 16 valves and a 5-speed gearbox, a max. power output of 100 bhp at 2900 rpm and a peak torque of 25.5 kgm at 1500 rpm.
The 2.2 Multijet is also characterised by its low weight (only 180 kg), making for improved fuel economy and, above all, a higher payload, GVW being the same. Longer maintenance intervals: oil change is required every 25,000 miles and the timing chain is for life.
2.3 120 Multijet

The new engine has been improved in many respects resulting in improved performances and higher torque, as well as lower running costs and greater profitability.
The 2.3 120 bhp Multijet has been designed for a long service life (190,000 miles) and significantly longer maintenance intervals: oil and filter have to be changed every 28,000 miles (5.5 lit. of oil) and the timing belt needs replacing every 150,000 miles.
Thanks to the Multijet injection system, the engine delivers a max. power output of 120 bhp at 3600 rpm and a peak torque of 32.6 kgm at 2000 rpm, with a constant torque curve from 2000 to 2800 rpm.
These significant figures make the 2.3 Multijet into the ideal answer for mixed use: sturdy and with excellent performances, nimble in traffic, brilliant over long distances, it is perfect for the transport of people and the distribution of goods in a local area. Torque is so high it endows the vehicle with excellent pickup even on a heavy load.
The new engine adopts a cast-iron engine block base with built-in bearings resulting in minimised vibration. The glow plugs, placed directly in the combustion chamber, are controlled by the ECU and make it possible to achieve a drastic reduction in pre-heating time thereby reducing the stress the engine is exposed to in cold-starting.
3.0 160 Multijet POWER

157 bhp at 3500 rpm
400 Nm at 1700 rpm
This is the most powerful engine equipping the Ducato, with a displacement of 2999 cc, a max. power output of 157 bhp at 3500 rpm and outstanding peak torque: an amazing 40.8 kgm which is virtually constant from 1700 through 2500 rpm.
This outstanding flexibility ensures great driveability and muted running. The 3.0 delivering 157 bhp is the ideal choice for people who seek power, torque and pickup. Strong and versatile, in any situation if offers the highest degree of safety, thanks to a huge reserve of torque always available to the driver to draw upon at an instant’s notice. From the transport of bulky goods over long distances to the transport of valuables, from leisure time pursuits (campers and motor homes) to passenger transport, with any body configuration and any GVW, the new engine always ensures maximum productivity, performances and silent operation.
Each component has been designed to carry heavy loads over long distances; for instance, the timing chain is for life and the oil and filter change interval is 28,000 miles. The 3.0 Multijet Power needs no topping up between one oil change and the next.

COMFORT & DESIGN
Styled by business needs. Signed by the Fiat Styling Centre, the design of the New Ducato has a streamlined appearance evoking the dynamism of high-speed trains. Italian style goes hand in hand with a rational, down-to-earth approach. Each and every design detail meets specific functionality and performance requirements.
The front bumper is a major element in the new design of the Ducato: strong, protective, wraparound, it consists of 3 parts that can be replaced individually if they get damaged in a crash, making for lower running costs.
Original and distinctive, the great headlamps make up a light cluster with a truly advanced look, projecting in the upward direction the dynamic lines of the front section. Their high position makes for optimised lighting and a reduced risks of their being damaged in the event of crash. The design of the front section, so compact and modern, expresses determination.
The vehicle sides feature clean lines and plenty of room for vehicle personalisation. Specially striking are the side mouldings that protect the bodyshell against small bumps.
The design of the rear section, with squared lines and the bumper connected to the side mouldings, gets across an impression of great sturdiness; distinctive, squared traits contribute to improved linearity and load space.
Inside, we find a car-like environment: the cab was fashioned with comfort as the prior consideration. The new inclination of the steering-wheel, the facia-mounted gearshift lever, the instruments legible at a glance and controls that can be readily reached and activated, make the driving comfortable and relaxing.
The driver’s seat can be adjusted longitudinally, for height and backseat inclination: the entire cab has been designed to welcome people of any build and to enable them to work most effectively.
Storage compartments, pockets, supports, writing boards and drawers help you to organise and keep at hand your documents and all the items you may need in your daily life, making the cab into a veritable mobile office.
To make the cab even more habitable, the engineering team worked on acoustic and vibration aspects to stop, absorb and dampen any noise or jolt directly at the source through ad hoc improvements to the suspension setup, the engines and the bodyshell, as well as through sound-proofing treatments. The results obtained are brilliant: interior noise in the Ducato cockpit is comparable to that of a medium-sized car.
Moreover, onboard climate is always ideal, thanks to a system designed for optimal distribution of air flows and the available of two climate control options (manual and automatic) and three extra heater configurations. Moreover, a reflecting windshield can also be had on request: it uses a laminated glass pane enclosing an invisible film of metal oxides that reflects a proportion of the solar energy, thereby reducing the heat that penetrates into the cockpit.
INNOVATIONS
Technology in your service. Thanks to avant-garde technological solutions, Fiat Ducato makes your workday easier and safer.
Ultrasound parking sensors* give out a warning sound if there is an obstacle in the way when you are backing up, and a rear-mounted camera* makes parking easy in any circumstances by showing the area at the back of the vehicle on the display mounted on the oddments tray. With the Cruise Control* you can set and keep the desired speed. The windshield wipers and the lights are turned on automatically by rain sensors and twilight sensors*.
With Blue&Me™* you can make and take calls hands-free with your Bluetooth® cell phone without taking your eyes off the road and without having to put on annoying earphones.
Created by Fiat in collaboration with Microsoft®, Blue&Me™ can also be used to connect electronic devices such as different digital music players (MP3, WMA and Wave), enabling you to listen to your favourite music from the vehicle’s audio system.
Among the devices making for enhanced onboard wellbeing we should also mention the self-levelling rear suspension*, ensuring great comfort and stability in any loading condition. During loading/unloading operations, they make it possible to lower the rear loading threshold by another 7 cm.

SAFETY
Safety travels by Ducato. 20000 hours of structural design work, 120 crash tests, hundreds of tests on components and subassemblies: these figures shed some light on the efforts made to increase even further the superior safety standards of the Ducato.
The vehicle has been designed to absorb small impacts most effectively. Occupant safety in the event of a crash is guaranteed by diversified bodyshell stiffness and a non deformable cockpit structure.
All seats* are equipped with three-point belts.
The dual stage driver airbag is supplied as standard.
Options include a 120 lit. passenger airbag - which will also protect a person seated in the centre of the two-seater bench -, side bags and window bags making for total protection.
Safety also means prevention. Even from this point of view, Ducato is at the forefront. The split circuit braking system with 4 disks is fitted with ABS with EBD.
The ESP, available on request, steps in to control vehicle swerving in critical conditions, e.g., when manoeuvring to avoid a sudden obstacle, and includes the Hill-Holder, to start on an incline without having to pull the handbrake, the HBA for increased braking force in panic braking, and the LAC (Load Adaptive Control), which monitors the conditions of the load so as to calibrate and optimise the operation of the ABS, the ASR and the ESP.

front drive architecture, bodyshell with great torsional stiffness, specific suspension setup for improved handling, road-handling and driving comfort;

more vertical steering-wheel ensuring a car-like driving position;
variable servo power steering to facilitate parking by reducing the effort on the steering-wheel to about half compared to ordinary power steering, supplied as standard on range topping versions.

In terms of safety Ducato gives you as standard 4 disk brakes on all versions, ABS with EBD and driver airbag.
On request, you can rely on the ASR, ESP with LAC (Adaptive Load Control) function, Hill Holder and HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assistance).
